Keeping FEETS Covered

Keeping FEETS Covered!

For when you’ve seen the homeless hungry; have you feed them?  For when you’ve seen the homeless thirsty; have you given them to drink?  For when you’ve seen the homeless in need of clothes; Have you given them something to wear?

Socks can be a luxury for many and a comfort we often take for granted. Many homeless are in need of them.  The homeless transportation is usually by foot and not taking care of their feet is a good way to lose them.  Athlete’s foot, trench foot, frostbite, blisters, and the list can go on.  Socks are a need and we need socks for the homeless.   If you would like to HELP keep the homeless feet covered with a NEW PAIR OF SOCKS you can donate them to us.  We will be collecting until March 20, 2010.
You can mail your donation to:

God bless you brothers and sisters!  We would like to share with you the purpose for “Keeping FEETS Covered”.  The reason is Jesus.  We want to show the LOVE OF JESUS to our local homeless in Houston, TX by covering their feet with a new pair of nice warm socks. Homeless are human beings who are in need.  In need of a lot but God told me socks.   Psalm 119:105 (King James Version) "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path".  God's Word is a lamp to our feet, Amen therefore let’s take Jesus light to the homeless feet while we cover them up with the living Word of God “spiritually” and “physically” cover their feet with the socks donated by YOU!

Jesus is the light that illuminates the darkness and if we have the light of God's truth shining brightly in us then we also should share that light with others.  We should announce THE HOPE to others in our community; the good news of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).  Announce to all the transforming Grace of God by means of the forgiveness of sins and the cleaning of the heart through Jesus Christ.  Let’s guide the blind in finding that love that God gives and the love they can accept in their heart.  We also want to give hope to those looking for consecration and restoration while guiding them in maintaining an intimate relationship with Jesus who is our Hope so that they may also have a greater chance to an enlighten path ahead of them.

Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-46  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:  36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?   38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?   39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Why is it so hard to take the Word of God, how hard is His Word!  For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  Do we have a heart to obey the word?  Then let’s give ourselves to this word of God in the Bible. Let’s dress the feet of the homeless as when we do this we are doing it for the Lord.  If you have life…Then let’s give life so there can be love and joy in others.  Let’s give knowing that giving becomes the revealed word of God to others and Only He can lead them in their new path.  The path where they can know, they have someone to lean on, knowing that the Hand of God is the only one that can do away with whatever is not letting them or us pass that darkness.  But the darkness should not be our focus.  Our focus should be on our Creator; the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the One who fearfully and wonderfully made us.  God has made us all the same and does not show favoritism.  God loves all men without exception and God desires to save all men without exception. God want to move us in a brand new season, a season in the power and in the presence of God.  The Holy Spirit wants to rewrite your life story, my life story and the HOMELESS life story.  Yes, it is true…we all go through grief and losses because God wants our eyes focused on Him.  He wants to give us a brand new future - a new identity because God says: You are the one I choose and today is the day of salvation, a new identity with the Spirit of Adoption – identified as children of the Living God.  Today is the day we can live under God's Word which is a lamp to our feet.  Amen.

Surrender 2 Jesus encourages you to donate 1 pair, 2 pairs, 3 pairs or more pairs of socks.  Man's socks, woman's socks, it doesn’t matter but please donate as we cannot do this without you.  We understand that times are hard but Matthew 6:33 says:   But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  I know for sure that when we give, we receive and socks are very inexpensive.  We are asking for you to participate with us as we do not want to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ without blessing the homeless with something they need.  Please know that everything we do, we do it for the Lord and His Glory!  For we are nothing but unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

If you have any questions please feel free to email us.  In advance thank you for reading this and thank you for your kind donations.  May our Father in Heaven bless you abundantly and may He give you the desires of your heart.  We ask you to pray for this event and the Lord willing we will be out in the streets….in Jesus name, Amen.

For we know it is "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4:6
